Attorney Akar earned her Juris Doctor Degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with Concentration in Intellectual Property Law. Iryna has her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Physics from the I.Franko National University of Lviv. Attorney Akar is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida, and authorized to practice in immigration proceedings nationwide under 8 C.F.R. §§ 1292.1(a)(1), 292.1(a)(1). Mrs. Akar is a proud member in good standing of the bar of the State of Florida, member of American Bar Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association. Marina Kunina, Esq., joined Innovo Law as a Partner in 2021 and concentrates her practice on immigration law, including business, investment, family-based immigration, and complex immigration litigation including deportation defense and bond hearings.
Marina Kunina has almost 15 years of combined experience practicing law in Florida and Russia. Prior to joining the firm, she was an associate attorney for an immigration law firm in Miami, Florida, gaining substantial experience in complex immigration law issues. In Russia, she was a Managing Partner of a civil litigation law firm, Head of Legal Department of a commercial bank, In-House Counsel for an international conglomerate. Throughout her extensive career, she has experience handling matters related to different areas of law.
Marina Kunina earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Law with Concentration in Civil Law and Civil Procedure with Honors from the National Research University Higher School of Economics in 2008. In 2012 she also earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with Concentration in Financial and Investment Management from the National Research University Higher School of Economics. In 2018 Marina Kunina earned her Juris Doctor Degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Board College of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
